About
In short: What To Wear Atlas helps adults choose clothes for a specific occasion, forecast, or piece they already own. Weiwei writes and edits the guides.
Who writes the guides
I’m Weiwei, based in Shanghai. I have attended funerals, jury-related occasions, passport photo appointments, and baby showers outside the United States. Those experiences are not evidence for U.S. requirements.
For U.S. passport photos and jury service, the guides use the official agency or court’s instructions. For other occasions, the host or family’s request takes priority over general suggestions.
What you will find here
Short answers, named colors, outfit combinations, and comparisons that help you choose from clothes you already own. We focus on a specific decision rather than asking you to follow a fashion trend.
How to use a guide
- Read the short answer.
- Check the invitation, notice, summons, or forecast named in “Check first”.
- Use the sections that match your venue, role, and weather.
Read our editorial policy for how sources and suggestions are handled.
Corrections
For an official requirement, check the linked agency or court page before acting. A correction should identify the guide, the statement in question, and the source that supports the change.
